About Special Coatings
Special Coatings GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Gilching near Munich, specializes in the decorative and functional surface coating of mass-produced small parts. Founded in 1996 in Planegg, the company began by trading metallic effect paints for plastic parts and evolved into a coating service provider offering paint development, project planning and contract coating from a single source. The core of the business is the SC-Coater®, a purpose-developed drum coating system for bulk goods, now marketed in its fourth generation 'Easy-Coat' with Industry 4.0 functionality. Depending on requirements, paints are developed as customer-specific special formulations on a water- or solvent-based basis, supplemented by an own paint system for wood coatings. The portfolio ranges from sampling through to series coating. With subsidiaries in the USA, China, Korea and Turkey, Special Coatings supplies customers in Europe, Asia and the USA.
