About Speckenheuer
Speckenheuer Sprockets & Gears GmbH is a family-owned company based in Eslohe in the Sauerland region, specializing in the manufacture of custom sprockets, gears and drive units. The products are manufactured on CNC machining centres and CNC 5-axis machining machines in a fully digital, CAD/CAM-controlled production process. With 22 production machines and 40 employees operating in two shifts, the company manufactures everything in-house with a high level of vertical integration – from pre-turning through hardening to slotting, with up to 20 work steps per sprocket. The material range includes high-alloy special steels, stainless steels and plastics such as PA6G. The products are used, among other things, in conveying technology, hydraulic steel structures, sawmills, gravel pits, coal-fired and power plants, mining and recycling. Customers include engineering offices, component and chain manufacturers as well as plant constructors throughout Europe.

Materials and Processes
High-Alloy Special Steel
Used for sprockets and gears under extreme conditions and high wear loads.
Stainless Steel
Used for sprockets upon request, for example for special environmental requirements.
PA6G
Plastic for sprockets with lower weight, lower noise emissions and potential use in the food sector.
CNC 5-Axis Machining
Manufacture of gears with high precision in a fully digital, CAD/CAM-controlled production.
CNC Turning
Pre-turning as the first production step with a high level of in-house vertical integration.
Case Hardening / Induction Hardening
Heat treatment of drive drums for increased wear resistance.
Welding
Welded assemblies for large sprockets and individual teeth.
Plasma Cutting
Additional manufacturing process in sprocket production alongside CNC machining.
