SPEED-BUSTER® GmbH & Co. KG, based in Sinzig (Rhineland-Palatinate), has been developing and manufacturing chiptuning auxiliary control units since 1996. The CT, CTR-S and CTR-KI tuning boxes are offered as plug-&-play modules for over 3,000 vehicle models with diesel and petrol engines. The auxiliary control units do not interfere with the vehicle's original software; instead, they process sensor signals in real time and can be removed at any time without leaving a trace. Power figures are determined vehicle-specifically on the company's own test bench; gains of up to +30 % in power and torque are possible. Series production includes vehicle-specific wiring harnesses with original connectors for self-installation in 10–20 minutes. Every power electronics unit undergoes a 100% final inspection with test and quality checks before delivery; over 1,000,000 test kilometres have been documented. TÜV part certificates are available for many models; in addition, a free engine warranty (1–2 years) and a 24-month product warranty are offered.
