About Spezialkabel Schmid
Spezialkabel Schmid GmbH is a family-run cable manufactory based in Affing-Mühlhausen near Augsburg. Since its founding in 1979, the company has specialised in the assembly of cables, connectors, lines and connector links of all kinds. Its portfolio of services ranges from miniature connectors, board-to-board connections, cable assemblies, connection lines for telecommunications and networks, USB, D-Sub, HF and coax lines through to heavy-duty connectors. In addition to custom assembly, the company offers development and configuration of individual cable and connector links as well as special lines as prototypes, samples, small-scale and pre-series production. Connection technology is implemented using soldering and crimping; lines are labelled according to customer specifications. In addition, Spezialkabel Schmid provides 3D printing as a service. Manufacturing is carried out in accordance with current ISO guidelines; all required quality tests are conducted in-house in the company's own manufactory before delivery. Customers come from IT, industry, automotive, mechanical engineering, studio technology as well as TV/AV and antenna technology. Extensive warehouse stock and long-term planning with manufacturers and distributors enable flexible and prompt order fulfilment.
