SPHINX Computer Vertriebs-GmbH was founded in Germany in 1989 and began with the production of serial I/O cards. The company evolved into a distributor of industrial automation products and industrial communication technology in Europe. The portfolio covers programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), SCADA systems, industrial networking, industrial automation software, sensors and actuators, as well as KVM solutions, industrial PCs, embedded computers, IoT gateways, routers, antennas and audio-over-IP devices. The business model is based on four pillars: classic distribution, logistics, project management and built-to-order service; in addition, the company offers system integration, technical support, training and consulting. Headquarters and main warehouse are located in Laudenbach near Frankfurt am Main. The European activities operate under the names SPHINX Connect and S-CONNECT and comprise 19 locations across Europe. Customer industries include, among others, manufacturing, transport, utilities, oil and gas, healthcare and retail. In 2023, the SPHINX group employed more than 100 staff and generated revenue of around 60 million euros.
