About SPIE Automation

SPIE Automation GmbH, headquartered in Pfullendorf (Baden-Württemberg), was formed in 2025 through the merger of five companies of the SPIE Group and builds on ESCAD, founded in 1996. The company develops custom solutions in the specialist fields of automation, robotics, digitalization solutions, manufacturing, assembly & relocation, process engineering as well as maintenance & servicing. The portfolio also includes mechanical engineering design, UL508A-certified control cabinet construction, testing technology and the fleet management software eRAMP. With around 350 employees at nine locations in Germany and, via SPIE ESCAD Austria GmbH, at four locations in Austria, the company serves industries such as battery manufacturing, industrial automation, intralogistics and medical technology. As a Certified System Integrator of Universal Robots and partner of MiR, Doosan and Global AGV, it realizes collaborative lightweight robotics and automated guided vehicle systems from design through to commissioning.
