About us

SPiN (Space Products and Innovation) was founded in 2015 and offers 'Modularity as a Service' for the space industry. The company supports satellite manufacturers and launch vehicle companies with modular satellite design based on Model-Based Systems Engineering, software and hardware integration, systems engineering, as well as Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT). Its core product is the MA61C, an intelligent plug-and-play data node system that automatically detects and integrates components from different suppliers with different protocols (including SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, I2C, UART, GPIO); available as an EGSE test tool (Electronic Ground Support Equipment) and as a cPCI Command and Data Handling System. In the ESA-funded project ExAMpl (FLPP/FIRST!), MA61C integration was successfully demonstrated together with Réaltra Space Systems Engineering and TTTech Aerospace. SPiN maintains offices in Frascati (headquarters, Italy), Darmstadt (Germany), Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg), Didcot/Harwell Campus (UK) and Albuquerque (USA).
