About Mattentat
Mattentat is a brand of SPIRITFAKTUR GmbH, based in Villingendorf in the Wasen industrial area. The company designs and sells doormats with regional motifs that are printed or sprayed onto plastic and coconut mats. The greenground fiber used consists of 100 % recycled nylon, is PVC-free, and the mats are washable. Via an online configurator (Mattendesigner), customers can design and order individual mats; there are the lines individuell, heimat and business. For every mat sold, a tree is planted as part of the #TeamTrees initiative, and packaging is done sustainably using a reusable rubber band. From a student company founded in 2015 at the Leibniz-Gymnasium Rottweil, a start-up emerged in 2022 with five jobs in Villingendorf as well as branches in several German cities.
