About Spitzenberger & Spies
Since 1963, Spitzenberger & Spies has been developing and manufacturing analogue linear transistor amplifiers, AC/DC current and voltage sources as well as complete measurement and test system solutions in Viechtach in Lower Bavaria. Based on 4-quadrant amplifiers, the systems simulate supply voltages from DC up to several hundred kHz at power levels up to the megawatt range (50 W to 1 MW, voltages up to 1500 V, currents up to 30 kA, multiphase). The portfolio includes mains simulation for automotive, avionics and rail, PV simulators and test systems for solar inverters, EMC test and simulation systems as well as custom special test benches for unit and series testing of industrial components such as circuit breakers, contactors, fuses, coils, transformers, capacitors and luminaires. The products are used primarily in development and test laboratories as well as in quality assurance; customers include automotive manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, VW and Ford. The company's own quality assurance accompanies the entire production process, complemented by a calibration laboratory according to PTB guidelines with DKD-calibrated measuring equipment. The company employs more than 70 staff on 3000 m² of production and administrative floor space.
