SRD Maschinenbau GmbH (Service, Research & Development) is a mechanical engineering company based in Enger, North Rhine-Westphalia. For over 40 years, the company has been developing and manufacturing solutions for labeling: labeling machines and labeling systems from a standard portfolio, fully and semi-automatic labeling systems, as well as machines and applicators for highly precise, technical labeling, bonding and application processes. In addition, SRD delivers customized special-purpose machinery and complete plant engineering, complemented by automation technology with mechanical and control-engineering components. The portfolio includes on-site assembly and commissioning, staff training, systematic maintenance and inspection, hotline and remote maintenance of PLC controls. On an operating area of nearly 2,000 square meters, engineers, technicians as well as skilled and commercial staff work on customer-specific solutions. Customers include, among others, the logistics service provider Arvato and the DRK Blood Donation Service West, for whom SRD supplied a special-purpose machine for fully automatic labeling and sorting of blood products. Further applications include the application of ID and shipping labels to cartons as well as ergonomic workstations for applying display protection films.
