About the city of Dinslaken
The city of Dinslaken is a district-affiliated town on the Lower Rhine with approximately 70,000 residents, located at the interface between the Ruhr area and rural Lower Rhine. The administration is a corporation under public law and provides municipal services to citizens and businesses. Its range of services covers registration matters, identity cards, building permits, the civil registry office, waste disposal including its own recycling yard, as well as economic development and the maintenance of around 250 kilometers of roads, paths and squares. Approximately 1,200 employees work in the city administration. Via a digital service portal, about 70 to 80 online services are available around the clock, including bulky waste registration and electronic residence registration. The specialized departments are distributed across several locations within the city area, including the town hall, the technical town hall, two citizen offices, the public order office and the fire and rescue station.
