Stadtwerke GmbH Bad Kreuznach is the municipal utility of the city of Bad Kreuznach and its surroundings. The corporate group, which also includes the Betriebsgesellschaft für Schwimmbäder und Nebenbetriebe mbH (swimming pool operating company) and the Gesellschaft für Beteiligungen und Parken Bad Kreuznach mbH (BGK), supplies more than 75,000 people with electricity (NaheSTROM from 100% renewable energies), gas (NaheGAS fix) and drinking water from the Stromberger Straße and Frei-Laubersheim waterworks. This also includes grid operation for electricity and water (689 km electricity grid, 492 km water pipes), the WärmeService with heating installation, maintenance and heat contracting as well as offers for heat pumps and photovoltaics. Through BGK, the company operates parking facilities with around 4,500 parking spaces, around 2 million parking events per year and a parking guidance system, as well as bathing and wellness facilities such as the Salinenbad, the Bäderhaus and the crucenia thermen. Around 250 employees work every day to ensure local supply security, complemented by services such as Nahenet WLAN, public charging stations, fiber optic connections and digital customer portals.
