About Stadtwerke Finsterwalde
Stadtwerke Finsterwalde GmbH is the regional utility and infrastructure service provider of the Singers' Town of Finsterwalde in the Elbe-Elster district, Brandenburg. The company supplies households, commercial and major customers with electricity, natural gas, local and district heating as well as drinking water; around 20,000 drinking water customers are supplied in the town and surrounding area. As operator of the drainage authority (Entwässerungsbetrieb) of the town of Finsterwalde, the company is also responsible for wastewater disposal and treatment. Via the SF Digital brand, the company offers fibre-optic internet, telephony and TV, and with SF Bäder it operates the town's indoor swimming pool and outdoor pool. In addition, the company handles grid operation for electricity and gas, metering point operation, service connections and e-mobility charging infrastructure. Stadtwerke Finsterwalde have been designated as basic and substitute supplier for electricity (2025–2027) and are the only municipal utility in the Elbe-Elster district and the Singers' Town region.
