About us

Stadtwerke Rastatt GmbH is a municipal utility organized as a limited liability company (GmbH) whose owners are the citizens of the city of Rastatt. The company reliably supplies Rastatt and surrounding districts such as Wintersdorf, Ottersdorf, Plittersdorf, Niederbühl, Förch and Rauental with green electricity, natural gas, drinking water and district heating. It operates the electricity, gas, water and heat networks, performs metering point operation and smart meter rollout, as well as house connections and plan information. Its own electricity generation comprises two hydropower plants (approx. 500,000–800,000 kWh/year) and 19 own photovoltaic systems (1.48 million kWh in fiscal year 2025). Through its subsidiary Stadtwerke Rastatt Service GmbH, it offers photovoltaic systems from planning through to implementation as well as charging infrastructure for e-mobility including load management. In the event of a fault, the network control center is available around the clock.
