About us
Stangl GmbH & Co. Gemüse KG is a family business in its second generation, headquartered in Simbach near Landau in Lower Bavaria. The company specialises in the cultivation and processing of vegetables into pickled preserves and covers the entire value chain itself, from cultivation through production and logistics to marketing. Across a total of 260 hectares of cultivation area in Germany and Romania (Oradea, Jud. Bihor), around 32,000 tonnes of cucumbers are produced annually using state-of-the-art irrigation and harvesting technology. In its own production facility in Simbach, pickled vegetables such as cucumbers, jalapeños, peperoni, mixed pickles, silver onions (pickled pearl onions), carrots and baby corn are processed during the season from June to October, with a production capacity of 50 million jars per season. The products go from the field into the jar within one day. As one of the leading European private-label manufacturers, Stangl supplies well-known retail chains throughout Europe; recipes and flavour profiles are developed according to customer requirements. Filling is carried out both manually and by machine into jars, plastic containers or cans.
