About STARCKE
Starcke GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized, group-independent family business in its fourth generation, based in Melle. Since 1829 the company has developed and produced coated abrasives – originally emery paper and emery cloth, today a broad program of sheets and strips, rolls and jumbo rolls, grinding discs, hook-and-loop discs, hook-and-loop triangles and abrasive belts with belt widths up to 1620 mm. Paper, cotton fabric and films are used as backing materials, with ceramic, zirconium, corundum and silicon carbide as abrasive grains. The range is complemented by fibre discs, flap discs, abrasive fleece, abrasive sponges, polishing sponges and polishing pastes. Target industries include, among others, the automotive industry (press shop, body-in-white, KTL, filler, topcoat), wood and furniture processing, painting and varnishing applications, metalworking and floor processing. Production, administration and logistics are located in Melle; customers are supplied worldwide. In addition, STARCKE offers on-site application technology, process consulting up to the individual new development of abrasives as well as a B2B shop.
