About us
Stark Gummiwalzen GmbH is a medium-sized, family-run business in its second generation, headquartered in Sontheim/Brenz. Since 1980, the company has manufactured ready-to-install rubber rollers, plastic rollers and roller cores precisely to customer specification, from single pieces to large-scale series. Production includes roller cores from its own turning shop (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium, plastic), rubber coverings and plastic coatings via injection moulding, hot-air vulcanisation and coating, as well as rubber machining and metal machining through turning, milling, welding, shrink-fitting and press-fitting. In addition, Stark offers roller service with regrinding, grooving, re-covering and core repair, assembly of assemblies, laser engraving and vacuum casting of silicone components for prototypes and small series. The rollers and roller coverings are used, among other things, in machines in the printing, textile, film, medical, metal, paper, food and aerospace industries. Around 50 employees produce on approx. 5,000 m² in four halls and supply customers on three continents; the operation manufactures using renewable energy with its own photovoltaic system.

Quality
Continuous quality controls ensure precision, concentricity, surface quality and dimensional accuracy of the rollers; dimensional accuracy and hardness follow the guidelines of the German rubber industry association (DIN 701-703). Production is largely digitally networked with machine data acquisition and central data analysis for quality assurance and documentation.
