About the STELLA GRUPPE

The STELLA GRUPPE with its parent company STELLA KERAMIK GmbH develops and manufactures precision grinding wheels in ceramic and resin bond as well as high-performance abrasives. The product range covers grinding tools for surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, tool grinding, gear flank grinding, thread and worm grinding, honing and superfinishing, rough grinding, rail grinding, as well as cutting-off and rough grinding; in addition, custom grinding wheels are developed. A key focus is the processing of the grinding raw material sintered corundum; diamond and CBN are also used for dressing applications. Fields of application include, among others, gear manufacturing, track superstructure/rail technology, tool and cutting tool grinding as well as granite and stone processing. Founded in 1925, the company produces with around 100 employees at three sites in Germany, reports an export share of approx. 40 % and manufactures exclusively in Germany. At the Schwarzenbach/Saale site, four photovoltaic systems cover the energy demand predominantly from renewable sources.
