Precision gears since 1950

Since 1950, Stelter Zahnradfabrik GmbH has manufactured precision metal gears and sprockets for the automotive, wind power, rail and classic industrial sectors. The production range extends from module 0.5 to 44 with unit weights of up to 2 tonnes. Production takes place exclusively in Germany at the Bassum site on an area of over 29,000 m², in small and large series. Almost all process steps of gear manufacturing as well as heat treatment in the in-house hardening shop are fully automated with around 200 industrial robots and loading/unloading systems; in automotive large-series production, soft machining is linked via an EWAB shuttle system with numerous interconnected machining centres. Special requirements such as ready-to-install components and assemblies are also manufactured just-in-time. The portfolio includes transmission gears for passenger and commercial vehicles, transmission components for electric vehicles, sun and planet gears for wind power, and gears and shafts for rail transport.
