Stemcor is an independent service provider to the steel industry, headquartered in London. Its core business is steel trading and distribution: the company acts as an intermediary between steel producers and buyers, trading the complete product range of long, flat and tube products in carbon steel, stainless steel and engineering steels as well as semi-finished products. In addition, Stemcor supplies steel production with raw materials such as scrap, iron ore, pig iron, HBI/DRI, coal, coke and ferroalloys. Further services include stockholding and processing for small quantities, logistics with shipping hubs in London, New York and Singapore, Price Risk Management with derivatives, as well as offtake agreements, credit facilities and customs clearance. Customers are intermediate mills, stockholders, steel processors and manufacturers for the oil and gas, automotive and consumer goods industries. The group employs more than 300 staff at 30 locations worldwide.
