Foundation of Fortron Helmut Schäfer GmbH & Co KG; electronics development and manufacturing for painting machines, later controls for machine tools; entry into embroidery with electronic controls for Zangs and Marco.
- 1990
After the insolvency of Zangs, development of the company's own embroidery machines; machine type F900 with industrial sewing heads from Bernina or Pfaff, up to 40 machines sold per month worldwide.
