About us

Stockhausen Treppen GmbH is a long-established manufacturer of custom interior staircases based in Winterberg-Züschen in the Sauerland region. The company was founded around 1896 as a carpentry shop for construction and furniture and has specialised in the construction of (prefabricated) staircases since 1990. It produces stringer staircases, bolted staircases, folded-plate, cantilever, spiral and handrail-supported staircases, HPL staircases, tread covers for concrete staircases as well as one-off pieces – every staircase is produced as a bespoke made-to-measure item. The materials used are predominantly regional woods such as beech, birch and oak, complemented by HPL, glass, steel and stainless steel. Manufacturing combines traditional carpentry craftsmanship with CAD technology and computer-controlled precision machines (CNC). The range of services includes consulting, site measurement, 3D planning with a staircase configurator, design, manufacturing, installation as well as staircase replacement, ceiling openings and modernisation of existing buildings. The company employs 23 staff, including master carpenters, journeymen carpenters, installers and wood technicians, and supplies new-build and renovation projects throughout Germany.
