About Stormbringer Energy

Stormbringer Energy GmbH, based in Georgenthal near Gotha in Thuringia, develops and sells small wind turbines for autonomous power supply. The core product is the Stormbringer wind turbine with a vertical main rotor shaft, an electrical output of 5.0 kWp, a start-up speed of 0.3 m/s and an operating range of 3 to 25 m/s; from 30 m/s an electric safety brake engages. Weighing around 90 kg with a footprint of about one square metre, the turbine can be combined with solar panels and a storage system to form the Stormbringer Synergy System and is suitable for electric vehicle charging stations as well as e-fuelling stations. The rotor and mast are made of aluminium; the system is manufactured in Germany from more than 80 percent recycled materials and is almost fully recyclable. Fields of application include private and commercial properties, agriculture, undeveloped areas and emergency power supply. The company was founded by three technically experienced partners with the support of a sustainability consultant and is a member of the Bundesverband Kleinwindanlagen BVKW e.V. (German Small Wind Turbine Association).
