About STUDIOBOX
STUDIOBOX GmbH, based in Munich, is a manufacturer of modular sound insulation booths and acoustic studios (room-in-room). The booths are built in timber construction as precision craftsmanship by bespoke joiners at two joinery businesses in Germany and Austria; every box is assembled at the factory before delivery and tested for functionality and build quality. The load-bearing structure consists of solid wood (fir/spruce), complemented by wood wool boards, wooden slotted panels, MDF and other wood composite materials; windows and doors are double glazed. The booths are designed as mobile systems requiring no structural work, can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly without loss of quality, and are freely dimensionable in a 60 cm grid – from standard sizes up to XXL boxes (largest realized: 840 x 480 x 240 cm). Sound insulation reaches up to -53 dB depending on frequency; the measurements were verified by the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics Stuttgart, exceeding the requirements of standard ISO 23351-1:2020. STUDIOBOX products are used at universities and research institutions, in R&D industry, broadcast/TV, music and speech recording, education, offices, and as sleeping and retreat rooms; customers and booths can be found across Europe as well as in the USA, South America and Asia.
