Stürmer Maschinen GmbH was founded in 1982 as a machine wholesaler with factory representatives and today supplies the German specialized machine trade as well as more than 20 European and over 40 non-European countries. The product range includes machines for metal and woodworking, compressed air and welding technology as well as cleaning and workshop technology, distributed under its own brands such as OPTIMUM, AIRCRAFT, METALLKRAFT, HOLZKRAFT, SCHWEISSKRAFT, UNICRAFT and CLEANCRAFT. The family-run group of companies employs around 280 staff at its Hallstadt and Pettstadt locations. Own production facilities exist at OPTIMUM Maschinen Germany GmbH in Yangzhou (China) for metalworking machines and at AIRCRAFT Kompressorenbau in Ried (Austria) for compressors. In Hallstadt, a demonstration and training center with around 150 demonstration-ready machines on 2.000 m² of exhibition space, a spare parts warehouse with over 250.000 parts and a Service Center are available; the logistics center in Pettstadt comprises around 345.000 items. Development, design and quality management take place primarily in Germany.
