Stumptner GmbH is a family business founded in 1956 and based in Wilhelmsdorf (Bavaria), specializing in the development and manufacture of technical padding solutions. The products are used, among other things, in headphones, earmuff hearing protection, helmets, medical applications and technical products. Materials processed include thermoplastic films such as TPU, PVC and PET, artificial leather on a PU and PVC basis, genuine leather such as Merino leather, and textile materials such as velours, velvet, plush and jersey, complemented by soft PU foams in standard and viscoelastic grades. Production includes high-frequency and ultrasonic welding, die cutting, in-house foam processing from block material, contour cutting using waterjet technology and CNC-controlled cutting on a Zünd cutting system. In-house toolmaking with a CNC-controlled milling machine is complemented by a process running from consultation through sample production to repeatable series production.
