About Stute
STUTE Nahrungsmittelwerke GmbH & Co KG is a food manufacturer founded in 1885 by Wilhelm Stute and still family-run today, headquartered in Paderborn. The company produces sweet spreads such as jams, non-alcoholic beverages and canned goods, mainly for private labels, operating as a contract filler. It is known for producing the 'River' brand for Aldi. Production takes place at two production sites in Paderborn with a total area of 500,000 m². The sales company for the discount channel is the subsidiary Willy L. Ahrens GmbH & Co. KG. In 2024, insolvency proceedings in self-administration were opened for three operating companies; the continuation concept provides for a concentration on jams, spreads and beverages in flexible packaging at the Paderborn-Abtsbrede site. Annual revenue amounted to 234 million euros in 2021.
