About Südmetall
Süd-Metall Beschläge GmbH was founded in 1995 by Jakob Persterer in Ainring and is an owner-managed family business with around 250 employees and annual revenue of approximately EUR 55.4 million. The company develops, produces and distributes door and window hardware, electromechanical locking systems as well as semi-finished and finished parts for metal and glass construction. The product range includes door handles, door knobs, long backplate sets, window handles, pull handles, lift-and-slide door hardware and fire protection hardware made of stainless steel, brass, chrome, aluminium, wrought iron, steel and plastic. Through in-house fundamental research, the nanotechnology-based antibacterial surface coating ABACO was developed. The hardware is produced in cooperation with the company's own production facility in Italy; the locking systems have been developed and produced in Leipzig since 2013. Sales locations exist in Ainring, Leipzig and Reiden (Switzerland).
