Sumcab Specialcable GmbH, known in the market as Sumcab Robotics, is a provider of robot peripherals based in Pfedelbach (Baden-Württemberg). The company develops and manufactures dresspack systems (energy and media supply lines) such as SUMOTEX®, SUMOFLEX® and SUMOSLIDE®, the MTPReel™ cable retraction system for teach pendants, as well as robot special cables from meter goods to custom new developments. Thanks to in-house cable production with high vertical integration and its own technical department, custom solutions are implemented independently of external specifications. The service spectrum ranges from simulation and development of individual dresspack solutions through assembly and commissioning to maintenance, optimization and brand-independent on-site repair. Customers include automotive manufacturers, special machinery builders, injection molding and die casting users as well as high-tech companies throughout Europe, including ABB, ENGEL, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, FANUC, KUKA and YASKAWA. In addition to the headquarters in Pfedelbach, the company includes two production and cable sites of the Sumcab group in Barcelona (Spain).
