About SUMTEQ
SUMTEQ GmbH, based in Düren (NRW), develops and manufactures PMMA-based nanoporous polymer foams. The material with tiny pores is characterized by low thermal conductivity and high stability and is further processed into molded parts as well as product lines such as Insute (blown-in insulation material for construction and technical applications) and Capsute (carrier for dry liquids and microencapsulation). In addition, the materials are used in shock absorption, filtration, as oil absorbents and additives, and in plastics recycling applications, including the BioMMA project for the synthesis of bio-based PMMA. Founded in 2014, the company sees itself as a dynamically growing specialist for sustainable plastics solutions and is also registered in the USA under its SUMTEQ brand.
