About SUPLEX
Founded in 1992, SUPLEX GmbH is a medium-sized, owner-managed company based in Willich (North Rhine-Westphalia), specializing in suspension technology for the automotive aftermarket. The product range comprises more than 4,200 coil springs in various designs – including miniblock springs made of non-constant wire, cylindrical springs, force-center springs (side-load) and conical springs – as well as leaf springs, racing springs and suspension spheres for Citroën vehicles. In its own production facility in Willich, coil springs are cold- and hot-wound on CNC coiling machines, shot-peened, coated with zinc phosphate and epoxy powder, and then labeled and packaged. Manufacturing is supported by an in-house research and development department with spring testing machines, prototype construction and testing procedures such as metallographic examinations, mechanical material tests and endurance tests. In addition, SUPLEX assembles complete strut assemblies (strut kits) and pressure-tests every suspension sphere at 150 bar before shipping. From a fully automated high-bay warehouse holding more than 4,500 items, the company supplies workshops and the automotive trade worldwide, with a service level of over 98 percent and fleet coverage of around 80,000 vehicles.

Materials & Processes
Spring steel (non-constant wire)
For progressive springs such as miniblock springs; variable wire thickness enables a progressive spring rate.
Spring steel (constant wire)
For cylindrical, conical and side-load springs with constant or progressive characteristics.
Zinc phosphate coating
Protects the spring steel against corrosion and ensures the adhesion of the epoxy powder coating.
Epoxy powder coating
Robust surface protection layer on all SUPLEX springs.
Shot peening / stress peening
Surface densification to extend service life, including load peening in the pre-stressed state.

Quality & Certification
New developments undergo metallographic examinations, mechanical material tests and endurance tests; manufactured springs are checked on spring testing machines for lateral and longitudinal dimensions. Every suspension sphere undergoes a 150-bar pressure test before shipping and is TÜV-tested.
