About precote® – SurTec Deutschland GmbH

SurTec Deutschland GmbH with the precote® brand develops and produces microencapsulated functional coatings for fasteners such as screws. The products secure threaded connections against loosening, seal them, facilitate assembly and enable defined disassembly. Production takes place in Munich, where an experienced development team also drives new developments and optimizations. precote® itself does not offer a coating service; the products are processed exclusively by more than 70 approved, qualified and certified coaters in 20 countries, ensuring worldwide availability of coated threaded parts. Customers are supported by application engineers from the inquiry to series release; an application-technology and chemical testing laboratory covers analytics from the coating to the application. Fields of application include the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, aerospace and household appliances. Since 2022, the company has been part of the SurTec Group and thus of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities.
