About precote®
precote® is the brand of SurTec Deutschland GmbH, a company of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities, for microencapsulated functional coatings for fasteners such as screws, nuts and pins. The product range includes prevailing-torque screw locks based on acrylate and polyamide, wax-based friction coefficient adjustment and assembly coatings, as well as anti-seize coatings with mineral solid lubricants for temperature applications up to +850 °C. SurTec itself does not offer a coating service; precote® products are processed by a worldwide network of more than 70 approved, qualified and certified coaters, which guarantees the global availability of coated threaded parts. An experienced team of application engineers supports customers and coaters from the first enquiry through system selection to series release approval. The coatings are used in the automotive, electronics and two-wheeler industries, in household appliances, office machines, computers, electric motors and in e-mobility, and meet the specifications of numerous international OEMs. For over 50 years, the brand's expertise has been integrated into the SurTec Group.

Polyamide
Basis of the prevailing-torque coatings precote 10 (melted-on, with sealing effect up to 15 bar) and precote 10-1 (drying, for temperature-sensitive surfaces).
Acrylate
Basis of the prevailing-torque coating precote 19-2 for screws > M4 as well as the anti-seize coating precote 709.
Wax
Basis of the friction coefficient adjustment coating precote Top 100 (dip process) and the assembly coating precote Top 300 for thread-forming screws, both with temporary corrosion protection.
Mineral solid lubricants
In precote 709 as a substitute for high-temperature pastes with separating effect up to +850 °C.
