About Surventis
Surventis, formerly BASF Coatings, is a globally active manufacturer of coatings and surface solutions. The portfolio includes automotive OEM paints, refinish products for body and paint shops, aerospace coatings with OEM approvals, surface treatment for the coil industry, and specialty coatings e.g. for piano-finish surfaces, optical components and motorcycles. The products are based among other things on 2K polyurethane systems; with Covestro Desmodur Ultra hardeners, a new standard in industrial hygiene was achieved in 2021 (below 0.1% free diisocyanates, REACH-compliant). Substrates include metal, plastic and glass. In addition to its products, the company offers technical training, color information systems, OEM certification support and the cloud-based digital platform Refinity. Following the agreement between BASF and Carlyle, Surventis operates as an independent company with around 10,000 employees at more than 70 locations worldwide; aerospace production is being expanded at the Langelsheim site.
