About us

Sven Behr Hummelvertrieb is a pollination apiary based in Welle/Kampen in northern Germany. The company supplies bumblebee colonies, mason bee cocoons and beneficial insects for biological plant protection exclusively to commercial customers from fruit and vegetable growing as well as seed breeding, throughout Europe. For pollination, bumblebee colonies are offered in water-resistant TRIPOL boxes for open-field use, NATUPOL boxes for protected cultivation, as well as NATUPOL Booster, Smart and Fly. Biological plant protection includes beneficial insects for spider mite and aphid control, including predatory mites, gall midges, parasitic wasps and lacewings. The company has been active as a pollination beekeeper for over 30 years; bumblebees have been used for strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers for more than 20 years. For the propagation of mason bees, professional nesting aids made of stacked wooden nesting boards are available.
