History

1946
Fred A. Lennon and Cullen B. Crawford develop the Swagelok tube fitting, a two-ferrule fitting.
1947
Crawford and Lennon found the Crawford Fitting Company in July 1947 with a USD 500 loan.
1948
Lennon buys the entire company and the patent for the Swagelok tube fitting from Crawford.
1949
Establishment of a network of independent sales and service centers; the first center is R.S. Crum for the northeastern United States.
2022
The Swagelok Company celebrates its 75th anniversary.
