SWC Wälzlagerfabrikation SW GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1994 in Niederwerrn near Schweinfurt, emerging from the rolling bearing manufacturing division of FAG Kugelfischer. The company manufactures and distributes rolling bearings for high-temperature applications up to 320 °C, including deep groove ball bearings, insert bearings, spherical roller bearings, stainless steel thin-section bearings, miniature bearings and DURABO Integral tapered roller bearings from its second brand. The value chain includes the assembly and equipping of bearings with special greases, heat-stabilized versions, temperature-protection coatings (HT1 to HT3) and Solid Lubrication solid-film lubrication, in which an oil-impregnated polymer matrix completely fills the internal bearing space. Materials used include rolling bearing steel, stainless steel, as well as cages and components made of PEEK, graphite, polymer matrix and ceramic balls for hybrid bearings. In addition to catalog products, SWC develops customized special solutions and special greases, including for the food industry with H1-approved lubricants. Through its sister company SWC Bearings Technology Co., Ltd. in Thailand, the SWC Group operates its own warehouse and production hall for the markets of Asia, Africa, Australia and the Middle East, and supplies customers on all continents worldwide.
