About swiplan
swiplan AG, based in Amsteg (Switzerland), develops and manufactures studio audio monitors based on the company's own Resobend technology. This is based on the principle of a Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML): a flat, ultra-light planar membrane radiates the sound image spherically in all directions – comparable to the radiation of acoustic instruments – instead of working in a directed manner like classic cone loudspeakers. According to the manufacturer, the monitors of the swiplan.1 series cover a frequency range of 40 to 21 000 Hz (±3,0 dB), reach around 100 dB SPL and operate without DSP correction thanks to mechanical linearity. The system includes a Class D stereo amplifier module with 2 × 75 Wrms at 8 Ω. The products are aimed at recording studios, music production and professional audio applications in the areas of recording, mixing and mastering.
