Swisskeramik AG is a ceramics manufactory in Sarnen specialising in stove ceramics, architectural ceramics and restorations. Since 2000, the company has been producing ceramic one-off pieces for high-quality construction projects: tiles for tiled stoves and fireplaces as well as construction ceramics for floors, wet areas, wellness areas, facades and signage. The range is complemented by restorations and reproductions of historical ceramics. Production takes place in clay and stoneware; shaping is done depending on the project by slip casting in moulds or by traditional hand shaping, followed by the ceramic firing at a temperature appropriate to the material. The manufactory produces its own glazes and pigments for colouring with its own colour mills. In close cooperation with architects, designers and building owners, the team of experienced ceramicists develops project-specific custom solutions and accompanies projects throughout Switzerland and beyond from the sketch to the final firing. The open manufactory in Sarnen is at once a workshop, experimentation lab and exhibition.
