SwissSEM Technologies AG, headquartered in Lenzburg, is an independent, growing supplier of power semiconductors. The company develops and manufactures IGBT modules, including the second-generation i23 900A/1200V series with reduced saturation voltage drop and lower switching losses under high reliability requirements. The modules are used in power converters, for example to feed electricity from solar and wind into the grid in a grid-compliant manner, to control industrial electric motors with virtually no losses, and to supply drivetrains of electric vehicles with efficiencies above 95 %. Production takes place at the company's own plant in China (Sunking Pacific Semiconductors Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd), which is fully operational and whose capacity has since more than doubled. The company is certified to IATF 16949 and also provides PLECS simulation models for its products.
