About us

SWK Schotterwerk Kirchen GmbH & Co. KG, with its administrative headquarters in Munderkingen, operates the Jura limestone quarry Werk Kirchen near Ehingen in Baden-Württemberg. Since 1953, limestone has been extracted there in the former primeval Danube valley between Kirchen and Mochental Castle. The production programme comprises crushed stone of all grain sizes, mineral concrete, fertiliser lime from the company's own production plant, as well as natural stone, limestone powders and grits for industry. Through continuous modernisation and expansion of the processing plants, production was gradually increased; from 2000 onwards, high-quality industrial products were added. Customers come from the construction industry, road construction, agriculture and industry. In addition, the company offers transport services.
