SWS-Packaging GmbH, headquartered in Gemmingen (Baden-Württemberg), is part of the SWS-Group and specializes in packaging and outsourcing solutions for electronic components and plastic parts. The service portfolio includes automated and manual tape-and-reel packaging into blister tape, contract taping of bulk material and stamped strips with 6-axis robots, kitting, assembly, connector assembly, cable assembly, as well as outsourced quality inspection. In-house trays are manufactured by thermoforming, milling, bending and laser cutting from plastics such as PS, PP, PE, PET, PVC and ABS; the company also supplies sealing tapes, reels, cartons, dry bags and shielding bags. The offering is rounded off by sourcing, storage and logistics along the entire supply chain. Automation takes place in Germany, while manual work is performed at the subsidiary plant in Kosovo; deliveries are made throughout Europe to customers from the automotive, electronics, medical technology, plastics processing, rail technology, mechanical engineering and renewable energy sectors.

Quality
The SWS-Group inspects products by functional testing as well as for mechanical damage, burr formation, scratches, cracks, color, assembly and surface defects, and sorts for completeness. Camera systems detect the smallest surface flaws before components enter the blister tape; ISO certifications are presented.
