SWT Maschinenbau GmbH is a special machinery manufacturer founded in 2017 and the official successor company of Häwa Maschinen GmbH, whose milling-head program the company continues to produce. Häwa machines have been in use on log yards in veneer, plywood and sawmills worldwide since 1952; in total, more than 700 systems have been installed. The portfolio includes milling-head debarking, root reducers, cross-cut saws and wood conveying systems (longitudinal and cross conveyors) through to turnkey log yards built to customer requirements. In addition, the company offers special machinery construction with planning, production and assembly as well as CNC contract manufacturing of individual parts and series in small, medium and large quantities on modern CNC machining centers. The machines are characterized by robust construction, high durability and low operating costs, and are aimed in particular at small and medium-sized sawmills as well as veneer and plywood mills.
