About Sylvain Pinaud
Sylvain Pinaud runs an independent watchmaker's workshop in Sainte-Croix in the Swiss Jura. The son of a watchmaker and a graduate of the watchmaking school in Morteau, he worked in various workshops and major watch manufactures after completing his training before taking the step into self-employment. The workshop produces custom-made watches, including the Chronograph Monopusher and the Origine model. The range of services also includes the restoration, repair and servicing of watches, the construction of innovative prototypes as well as the manufacture and decoration of its own components. The workshop is fully equipped: lathes and milling machines stand alongside measuring instruments and century-old tools, so that components can be made in-house and watch movements can be decorated before assembly. Given the small production volumes, only a few watches leave the workshop each year.
