About Symplast
Symplast is a compounder of thermoplastic elastomers based in the Menemen industrial zone near Izmir (Turkey). The Turkish family business, founded in 2013, was established by plastics specialists with 20 years of prior experience each in TPE and TPV production. The entire product range is summarized under the symflex® brand: SEBS-based TPE compounds (symflex® S), EPDM/PP-based TPV compounds (symflex® V), SBS-based TPE compounds (symflex® B) and EPR/PP-based TPO compounds (symflex® T). TPV production is carried out by dynamic vulcanization of EPDM in a thermoplastic matrix (polypropylene). With six extrusion lines, the annual production capacity is 38,000 tonnes. An in-house R&D laboratory develops customer-specific compounds; coloring is done via standard masterbatch or pre-coloring. Fields of application include construction, automotive, consumer goods, electrical/electronics, devices & tools, medical & care as well as impact modification. Worldwide delivery is handled through a distributor network with local warehouses and the seaport of Izmir; a sales office in Essen serves the German-speaking market. Hardness ranges from 5 Shore A to 65 Shore D depending on product family, service temperatures from −50 °C to +140 °C.

Weather- and temperature-resistant (up to +130 °C), with HFFR, food-grade and bondable grades for 2K processing.
symflex® V – EPDM/PP-based TPV compounds
Thermoplastic vulcanizates with high temperature, UV and chemical resistance, produced by dynamic vulcanization.
symflex® B – SBS-based TPE compounds
Economical variant for applications with lower requirements for UV and temperature resistance.
symflex® T – EPR/PP-based TPO compounds
Olefin compounds with good UV and impact resistance, suitable for lightweight construction due to low density.
