About SYNEQT
Since January 1, 2026, SYNEQT GmbH has consolidated the infrastructure services of the Evonik chemical parks in Marl and Wesseling and, as a 100 percent subsidiary of Evonik, is the operator of both sites. With around 3,500 employees and revenue of around 1.8 billion euros, the company ranks among the largest providers of industrial services in North Rhine-Westphalia. Core competencies include energy supply, pipeline construction and operation, technical service, building and plant management, waste disposal, plant logistics, port operations, plant security, fire services, as well as cafeteria operations and vocational training. In the chemical park of Marl, which covers around six square kilometers, nearly 10,000 people work in about 100 production plants operated by around 20 companies; the 330,000-square-meter Wesseling site in the Rhenish chemical triangle is home to five companies. SYNEQT's goal is to develop both sites in the long term into climate-neutral, digitally networked and highly flexible industrial ecosystems.
