System Happel GmbH, headquartered in Friesenried in the Ostallgäu region, develops, manufactures and distributes milking systems, milking parlours and accessories for dairy farming. The foundation is the vacuum-relief (VE) milking technology patented by company founder Fritz Happel, which models machine milking on the natural suckling of the calf.
