About Tadiran Batteries
Tadiran Batteries GmbH is a manufacturer of primary, non-rechargeable lithium batteries based in Germany. The company was founded in 1984 as a joint venture between Tadiran and Sonnenschein and traded for over 35 years under the name Sonnenschein Lithium. The product portfolio comprises LiSOCl2 batteries (LTC) with inorganic electrolyte for high energy density, PulsesPlus™ batteries for applications with high current pulses and long service life, TLM batteries based on Lithium Metal Oxide for high-current applications such as automotive eCall, and rechargeable TLI lithium-ion batteries for harsh environments. The batteries are characterized by maintenance-free operation for more than 20 years. Fields of application include utility metering, IoT, tracking, automotive, instrumentation, medical technology, alarm and security systems, military, off-shore applications, and industrial automation. Tadiran Batteries GmbH is a subsidiary of Tadiran Batteries Ltd., which is wholly owned by Saft Groupe S.A.
