About Tadiran Batteries
Tadiran Batteries Ltd. develops and manufactures lithium batteries for industrial remote applications. Nearly 50 years ago, the company pioneered the lithium thionyl chloride (LiSOCl2) battery for wireless remote applications. The portfolio includes standard cells (TL, SL, TLL, TLH), hybrid cells (HLC), TLM cells with high pulse capability, and rechargeable TLI lithium-ion cells with up to 20 years of operating life and 5,000 charge cycles. In addition, custom battery packs based on lithium, lithium-ion and other technologies are developed and assembled. The company serves applications such as utility meter reading (Utility/AMR/AMI), Industrial IoT, asset tracking, energy harvesting, medical technology, military and aerospace, oceanography, and agritech, including extreme temperatures from -100 °C to +125 °C. Production, R&D and administration are located in Kiryat Ekron, Israel; customers worldwide are supplied via the Tadiran U.S. Battery Division in Lake Success, NY, and a global distribution network, including Aclara (AMR units) and AmSafe (airbags).
