About TareTag

TareTag GmbH develops the Zero Waste Digital Label, a digital label in the form of a sequential QR code with which virtually any container can be transformed into legally compliant packaging. Producers, bottlers, consumers or deposit pools equip their containers with the QR code – either as a dishwasher-safe sticker or directly during the container production process. Via an interface to the goods management system, container and product migration, deposit management and new deposit pools for regional and supra-regional circulation systems are managed. Consumers use an app scan to retrieve content and hazardous substances, best-before date, number of uses, packaging saved, container tracking and store search. The target group is retail and wholesale of food and drugstore goods, gastronomy and takeaway catering, zero-waste shops as well as manufacturers of reusable packaging. The company, founded in 2022 and based in Hanover, operates a pilot store in Laubach.
